Hugo Lui, President and CEO
Mr. Lui is the C.E.O of Alpha Bright Asset Management Company Limited, an asset management advisory licensed corporation under Type 4 (Advising in Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) Regulated Activity licensure issued by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the daily management and investment strategies of the firm. He represented the firm as part of the Hong Kong delegation to showcase investment technology at the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong.
Hugo previously was employed at the Citigroup Global Headquarters. He performed analysis regarding stock shares, and Index option valuation, and managed Citibank's global technology transformation projects of the Equity Management system. Prior to joining Citi, Hugo worked in the CFO Office of the Dreyfus Mutual Funds that was part of the Global Asset Management Department at the Bank of New York Mellon Financial Corporation in New York. In addition, he worked for the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Wall Street office. Previously, he created a digital analysis portal for US investors in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and market analysis. He has experience in investment, investment technology and digital transformation for over 15 years.
In New York and in Hong Kong, entrepreneurs and young professionals alike came to him for investing advice. But he often couldn’t recommend the services he used because the minimums and fees were too high — especially for students. He saw a need to democratize access to sophisticated investment products. And he decided to do something about it. And so he realized software could make investing easier and better for more people. So he created the fintech investment platform ETFCOOL.com!
Hugo was educated in the United States. He attended the University of Chicago in Chicago USA and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Policy and Business Economics. Additionally, he completed his Master degree in International Economics at the University of Chicago.
A native of Hong Kong, Hugo enjoys swimming and hiking in beautiful Hong Kong.
Arthur Lo, Senior Vice President
Mr. Lo has more than 20 years of experience in investment management. Arthur Lo was previously Responsible Officer of Type 4 and Type 9 for Ping An Securities (231.HK). He is responsible for investment research and development of Artificial Intelligence application in investment in equity and bonds. Before that he was a fund manager for Yue Xiu Asset Management and is responsible for managing equities and bond funds. He assists in our Marketing effort. Arthur was previously a First Senior Analyst/Fund Manager of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank with AUM of USD 474 billion. He was actively involved in the establishment and investment of MSCI index benchmarked funds, REIT funds and other Unit Trusts for international institutional investors and retail investors. He was a Fund Manager for Taifook Asset management and managed a number of private absolute fund and HK MPF fund. He is also an Investment Manager for CMTF Asset Management, a joint venture between China Merchant Securities and Taifook Asset Management. He has experience in investing in energy related PE projects. He was also Deputy Head of Research for Core-Pacific Yamaichi which he joined in 1998.Arthur has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Professional Accountancy) from the Chinese University of HK. He is also a CFA charter-holder. He has passed Level 3 Professional stage of the ACCA.
David Cheung, Investment Technology Manager
Mr. Chang grew up in Chicago, IL USA and attended the University of Chicago and completed his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science. Later, he received his Master degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University. He previously worked at Microsoft Global Office in Seattle Washington USA for several years. He worked on the development of computer algorithm for Microsoft products such as business productivity software and enterprise solutions. Later, he worked at Square Payment in Silicon Valley in USA. He managed the payment solutions for global transactions for the networking system of Square Payment. Additionally, he is the Vice President of Silicon Valley Technology Development Association in California. Mr. Chang enjoys golfing and mountain hiking.
Nelson Lei, Vice President and Licensed Investment Manager
Nelson Lei is an investment representative in Alpha Bright Asset Management. He has more than 5 years’ experience in investing stock market in Hong Kong. Nelson graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he received his BA in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He also earned his CPA(US) and several professional financial designations over the years. Before joining Alpha Bright, Nelson worked in the Big 4 accounting firms as an auditor and consultant for companies listed in US and Hong Kong. In Alpha Bright, he concentrates on the investment needs of affluent and mid-small sized net worth families and business. He develops rigorous strategies to investing and wealth management planning to help clients determine their financial needs and risk tolerance. Client recognition is the first priority and portfolio performance is Nelson’s primary business objective. He is committed to providing customer service in professional competence and care.
Dr. Oriol Caudevilla, LL.B., MBA, PhD.

Dr. Oriol Caudevilla, LL.B., MBA, PhD, is a FinTech Advisor, Management & Strategy Consultant and Researcher (Digital Banking and Finance, Central Bank Digital Currencies, Blockchain, Crypto and M&A). He currently works as a Management Consultant at a LegalTech company, AirHelp, he is acting as Advisor for a Hong Kong-based FinTech company, ixFintech, conducting research on Blockchain Trade Finance and Artificial Intelligence at Qatar University and he is also a FinTech Mentor at F10 Incubator & Accelerator, Singapore. He is currently member of the Blockchain, Digital Banking and Greater Bay Area Committees at the Fintech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK), as well as the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA). He is currently Fellow at the Digital Euro Association (D€A) and at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). Before that, he used to work as a business analyst at a Hong Kong publicly listed company, Yuxing InfoTech Investment Holdings. Furthermore, he publishes articles in several media, including China Daily (both the Global and Hong Kong Edition) and Macau Business. He has given talks and seminars on the Chinese Financial System, Central Bank Digital Currencies and the Digital Yuan in several universities in Hong Kong and Macau, as well as in international conferences, like the recent Israel/UAE Fintech Week and the Future of Fintech Saudi Arabia event. Previously in Hong Kong, he was visiting fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law (AIIFL, HKU), at the Centre for Chinese Law (CCL, HKU) and at the Center for Financial Regulation and Economic Development (CFRED, CUHK).
