Management Team
HUGO LUI
CEO
Mr. Lui is the C.E.O of Alpha Bright Asset Management Company Limited, an asset management advisory licensed corporation under Type 4 (Advising in Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) Regulated Activity licensure issued by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the daily management and investment strategies of the firm. He has investment and trading experience for more than 20 years. He previously worked as an investment manager at Wellington Capital Investments. Additionally, Hugo previously was employed at Citigroup Citibank Global Headquarters. He performed analysis regarding stock shares and Index option valuation. Prior to joining Citi, Hugo worked in the CFO Office of the Dreyfus Mutual Funds which was part of the Global Asset Management Department at the Bank of New York Mellon Financial Corporation. In addition, he worked for the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Wall Street office. Previously, he created a digital analysis portal for US investors in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and market analysis. He represented the firm as part of the Hong Kong delegation to showcase investment technology at the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong. He is currently serving on the Forex Asia Conference advisory board and is a judge in Forex Asia trading.
Hugo was educated in the United States. He attended the University of Chicago in Chicago USA and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Policy and Business Economics. Additionally, he completed his Master's degree in International Economics at the University of Chicago. Furthermore, he completed his Master of Science in Accounting at the Boston College Graduate School of Business.
ARTHUR LO
Senior Vice President
Mr. Lo has more than 20 years of experience in investment management. Arthur Lo was previously Responsible Officer of Type 4 and Type 9 for Ping An Securities (231.HK). He is responsible for investment research and development of Artificial Intelligence applications in investment in equity and bonds. Before that he was a fund manager for Yue Xiu Asset Management and is responsible for managing equities and bond funds. He assists in our Marketing effort. Arthur was previously a First Senior Analyst/Fund Manager of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank with AUM of USD 474 billion. He has actively involved in the establishment and investment of MSCI index benchmarked funds, REIT funds and other Unit Trusts for international institutional investors and retail investors. He was a Fund Manager for Taifook Asset management and managed a number of private absolute fund and HK MPF funds. He is also an Investment Manager for CMTF Asset Management, a joint venture between China Merchant Securities and Taifook Asset Management. He has experience in investing in energy-related PE projects. He was also Deputy Head of Research for Core-Pacific Yamaichi which he joined in 1998. Arthur has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Professional Accountancy) from the Chinese University of HK. He is also a CFA charter-holder. He has passed the Level 3 Professional stage of the ACCA.
DAVID CHEUNG
Investment Technology Manager
David Cheung attended Northwestern University and completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Later, he received his Master's degree in Computer Science from UCLA. He previously worked at Amazon Global Office in Seattle Washington USA for several years. He worked on the development of computer algorithms for products such as business productivity software and enterprise solutions. Later, he worked at Square Payment in Silicon Valley in USA. He managed the payment solutions for global transactions for the networking system of Square Payment.
NELSON LEI
Vice President and Licensed Investment Manager
Nelson Lei is an investment representative in Alpha Bright Asset Management. He has more than 5 years’ experience in investing stock market in Hong Kong. Nelson graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he received his BA in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He also earned his CPA(US) and several professional financial designations over the years. Before joining Alpha Bright, Nelson worked in the Big 4 accounting firms as an auditor and consultant for companies listed in US and Hong Kong. In Alpha Bright, he concentrates on the investment needs of affluent and mid-small sized net worth families and business. He develops rigorous strategies to investing and wealth management planning to help clients determine their financial needs and risk tolerance. Client recognition is the first priority and portfolio performance is Nelson’s primary business objective. He is committed to providing customer service in professional competence and care.
